I’m a pretty lucky guy. Not only does my job takes me to some pretty sweet locations around the globe, but I get to live in Bermuda, where the sand is pink, the water is turquoise and the drinks are Dark n Stormy. Life here is good, especially since I get to report on it all for the Bermuda Channel, a television network geared for island visitors. Among other attractions, I’ve filmed great spots to go SCUBA diving on the south shore, deep sea fishing on the Challenger Banks and even nightclubbing at Moon in the City of Hamilton—and now there’s a new video to add to the mix. Filmed just last month and currently making its rounds on the Bermuda Channel, welcome to A Day in Dockyard.
As you’ll see, there’s plenty to keep you busy at the old naval fortress. Located on Bermuda’s west end, it’s where you’ll find the Clocktower Mall full of boutiques, cafes and the only Hagen Dazs ice cream shop on the island; Bermuda Fun Golf, an oceanfront miniature golf course that has recreated 18 of the world’s most iconic holes (like The Road Hole in St. Andrews); Snorkel Park, with its beach volleyball courts, kayak rentals and nighttime island beach party; the Frog & Onion, a English-style pub featuring beers brewed by the Dockyard Brewing Company; Dolphin Quest, where you can swim with live dolphins; and the Bermuda Maritime Museum, which is chock full of island history.
So go head and give it a look. It’s probably the most entertaining nine minutes you’ll watch all day.
