We’re still in the midst of Phase 2 here in Bermuda, which means our economy, and more importantly our international airport, won’t fully reopen for several more weeks. When that will be is anyone’s guess, but what remains clear is that our tourism sector must focus on the intra-island economy in order to survive. That means businesses that once survived on tourist dollars must stay afloat with ours. And fortunately, one of my favorite local businesses is offering a stellar deal for Bermuda residents at the moment.
Following last week’s post about Bermuda restaurants that are set to reopen in Phase 2, I have some exciting updates to share—along with a pair of stellar dining experiences in restaurants with breezy, open-air patios. For starters, let’s bulk up that list of establishments that are currently serving lunch, dinner or drinks on their outdoor areas.
Ok, I’ll admit. I’m a pretty lucky guy. For over 11 years now my wife and I have called this mid-Atlantic archipelago home—a place that’s as naturally beautiful as it is historically significant. In fact, natural beauty is a resource that Bermuda has in abundance, so my family and I make sure to take advantage of its bounty at every opportunity. On this day we cruised out to Mangrove Bay near the currently shuttered Cambridge Beaches Resort. It was one of those picture-perfect days, with blue skies and warm breezes. Quintessential Bermuda stuff—and so my family set out to explore.
