Ok, I’ll admit. I’m a pretty lucky guy. For over 11 years now my wife and I have called this mid-Atlantic archipelago home—a place that’s as naturally beautiful as it is historically significant. In fact, natural beauty is a resource that Bermuda has in abundance, so my family and I make sure to take advantage of its bounty at every opportunity. On this day we cruised out to Mangrove Bay near the currently shuttered Cambridge Beaches Resort. It was one of those picture-perfect days, with blue skies and warm breezes. Quintessential Bermuda stuff—and so my family set out to explore.
Welcome to my very first installment of the #TheFridayPhoto. In addition to stunning, curious and/or amusing images that I come across in my travels, you can expect to see snapshots of personal moments from my daily life—like this blue sky day I recently had in Bermuda. My family and I were taking a beach hike along the island’s south shore and couldn’t help but take in the view near Chaplin Bay, craggy rocks, turquoise ocean and all. It just doesn’t get much better than this.
